Hi Verdunites!
I found an olde Montreal Star Clipping in an olde scrapbook of mine. Pictures taken of the 1949-1950 Verdun High #69
Air Cadets who participated in Band and Drill Competition
in the Sir Arthur Currie Gymnasium. They won the Band Competition and did well in the Drill Competition. The Previous year they won the Drill Competition Trophy. I was lucky enough to be in the Drill Flight the previous year and the Band the next. (In the photo, see X) If you enjoyed the 40's and 50's at VHS, you may recognize a few faces. What a great time it was.

Victah. Good picture. I was in The Air Cadets at Bannantyne school, and FO Kirk was in charge. He was the father of Lorraine Kirk who lived at 800 3rd Avenue. Someone on this site said she is now living in Toronto, or somewhere in Ontario. Thanks again. good memopries indeed. It is like Les says, look around the old shoe boxes and bring those old photo out!!!!!!! Winston Allison
Thanks Vic,......old pics are what we Appreciate,.............and I know there's a few out ,there hesitating & procrastinating,.but allow me to invite you all to post all of your old pics ,cause these Are Our History,...and it's what made us seek out & find sites like this that ,and we appreciate all those old photo's, instead of leaving them in a box,or bringing them out occassionaly ,when family or friends are over,........(which is really great) then we ask you to take a few minutes and share all those Super Memory's you all may have with the rest of us,...Cause maybe that's just the thing that will prompt our old knoggans into Rememberring some good memory's that we might all just enjoy..........Whad'ya say.........................
