Fire
Hi All, There is presently a major fire in Verdun. It is on Bannantyne in block where old CB club the Grocery store and coin laundry and the old Kosta's. Don't know much more than that.
HI DANNY...TKS FOR THE INFO..SCARED ME...MY GRANDDAUGHTER GOES TO THE DANCE STUDIO OVER THE COIN LAUNDRY...ANYWAY PHONED HER AND IT IS ON FIRE AND A BAD ONE SHE SAYS. AND I CAN HEAR THE TRUCKS WAILING BY..SEEMS TO HAVE STARTED IN THE LAUNDRY PLACE...SECOND TIME IN 3 MONTHS... JUNE
Fire rips through Verdun commercial building Montreal GazettePublished: Thursday, February 08, 2007 A general-alarm fire ripped through a commercial building in Verdun on Thursday. The building at 5981 Bannantyne Ave. housed a restaurant, food store, dance studio and dry cleaners. The call came into Montreal Fire Department at 12:06 p.m. Forty-five trucks and 125 firefighters responded to the call. The fire apparently started between the floors of the building and quickly spread to the roof. No one was injured in the fire and all tenants in the building were evacuated safely said Montreal Fire Department spokesperson Sylvain S챕vigny. The cause of the fire is under investigation
