Magpie I am saying Hi
Just wondering if you are the same Magpie, and may remember the Glo-worm and the Woodchucker from the old CB days. Are you in Calgary?. We are in Mille Isles.??? If this rings a bell get back to me.
Hey Magpie So glad to hear you are still out there, this modern tech. is great better than the old CB days ay. It sure is a small world, I forgot you were from Verdun, Where did you grow up. I just remember you from Morin Heights & Lasalle. My sister Lynn is on the VC also she is levisjeans. Have been in touch with so many old friends on this site all over Canada and the US. Great to hear from you. Glo
There is a group for Morin Heights. It doesn't seem to be very active but there are some links on it that you might enjoy exploring. Here is the URL. It seems that a lot of Verdunites had connections to Morin Heights and Mille Isles. My father had relatives in the area. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Morin_Heights/
It would be neat to know the history of that machine,...but it could very well have been inspired by Bombardiers idea,.........??Or it was just some smart thinking character who figured it out,Neat Photograph ...................Thanks for posting that again
Snow on Brault.....Now that's a Snow MAchine...................................... incidentally there's certainly a lot of Gobblegook in the previous post,.Sorry 'bout that Chief,............I usually try to catch that crap & remove it,..but I guess I goofed on that one,..........However the CBC link at the bottom of those HieroGlyphics,..does work,.....if you want to see that CBC TV clip re: Ski-doo's........................................
Any ideas on the date of that picture? And what was the source, if you don't mind? Was Maggie referring to this picutre, when she mentioned that it was from the 1950s.

Brownblvd,..........& anyone else out there that may want to find Verdun stuff,.or more accurately the site where we find alot of this stuff,.if you right click on any picture posted anywhere on the web,.then click on 'properties' this will give you the location (in a webaddress,.url),.and then you should be able to copy & Paste it then go to that exact picture (in theory)..hahaha http://www2.ville.montreal.qc.ca/pls/portal/docs/page/arr_ver_fr/media/Album_photo/image/grand_brault Also for those of you who don't want to use up your allotted 3mb's of storage,.then when you come across a picture (just like an article too) ,.then just right click,.'then copy',.then 'paste it in the message here on the site,...you will then be able to leave the picture there without deleting it later,.it's always frustrating to open a msg. post, & see nothing but that red X ....Now this does not work on every web site,.(some have protection against this action) but most so far allow it,..Give it a shot,.and we'll have quite a collection of photo's here,.............(also if you save it to your hard drive ,you will at least still have acopy for yourselves,.but posting form your hard drive does use up some of your 3mbs.......................Have I sufficently babbled long enough.......................hahahahaha Must be the freezing from the two fillings,.as for the EKG (the gal said offically she couldn't really tell me the results........................So with that she told me of course......hahahahahaand so far I shouldn't be waking up anytime soon with a tag on my right toe:hahahahaha Of course she could be wrong ,so I'll wait for my Doc's Ok,next the Treadmill............yea...............hahahahahahIn the meantime I will read the 'obits' in the paper every morning and if i get past the (F's),.then I should also be Ok,......................ever notive that everyone seems to die in alphabetical order,..................Weird....hahahaha
Magpie. My mother Annie Allison was friends with Mary Markham (nee Baldwin). We would go to visit her mother in Morin Heights. I think it was Joe that died D-Day. But I also remember there was Henry, and some other sons. I played with some of the kids when I was a kid. I think the last time I was up there was around 1960(?). We lived at 835 3rd avenue in Verdun. Winston Allison
