I wonder how many photographs could be gleamed from the people who take this workshop,...and the wealth of knowledge that seniors could provide btwn stories,.and photgraphs,............I bet we would find a treasure trove (wondered if I'd ever use a term like that......hahahaha), of Great old Verdun / Montreal information,.as well as many contacts to others who may be interested in visiting and/or sharing with us here: Edbro your always in the loop of what's going on (as well is Guy),....Are you familiar with this Kathryn Harvey ,,? Might be interesting to talk with her: Just a Thought

The sign of the devil.....yikes....
I'll check with my grandson. He's working full time at Dawson. Ed
I will speak with Mark at Dawson tomorrow morning.. My grandson works there but he's with teens. Mark takes care of the elderly and I will find out what future programs are coming. Also if they have regular weekly meetings (usually to excercise, play games etc.) I'll ask if I can attend one and talk up Verdun History and Verdun Connections. Also, How about yourselves. The stories of how you felt having to leave Verdun. The misgivings on hearing your company was planning to move. From the sale and closings of your homes to what you have today. This is all Verdun history. Ed
Les, Tomorrow's Dawson activity is a visit to our local, the SHGV as announced yesterday at 1.30 pm. Guy
I've been told that I was the first girl to join Dawson's. It was called Dawson's Boys' Club back then when it first opened it's doors. We had two large kiddie pools on the roof top. We also had a huge Glee Club and toured quite a bit. To old folks homes and even on Magic Tom's Show. We took ballet and tap there and lots of Arts and Crafts. We went on lots of field trips such as Lowneys and Westons. I have nothing but wonderful memories of Dawsons.
Hi Duck
Iam still reading some of your old messages. I too
hung around Dawsons and was also in the Glee Club and sang at the old folks
homes. The glee club was ran by Mr Sharron.
Hi, Jean, I have a large coloured group portrait taken of everyone in the Glee Club. The photo was taken in the gymnasium at Dawson's in the early 60's! I love looking at it. I recognize my Aunt Penny (Charron) and my cousins, Lisa and Joanne Marcil. Maybe you are in it, too!
Correction My cousin is Lise Marcil not Lisa.
