Seniors groups.
Does anyone out there know of any Canadian senior group
Thank you Redmond, one of the links is just what I'm looking for. It's important to remind politicians that old people count and have needs. Groups like this do it. Ed
You might try U3A which is the Third Age University that I belong to on the Internet and see what is available in Canada. It is worldwide organization of volunteer leaders and they are on the web. I have been in their computer class in the past and also have been to tap classes for the past 10 years locally, which is pretty good for a 75 year old! Wouldn't you say. They have all types of courses on offer. Maybe even communication of some sort -or you can start one as a suggestion. Betty
Thanks Bet, I am still taking classes at McGill every year. We have three semesters of ten weeks and at two courses for $75. for seniors, who could refuse. I was actually interested in seniors groups that come together nationally to stand up for senior rights. This Harper government has said things that worry me where pensions are concerned. I remember when seniors banded together coast to coast and confronted Mulroney on Parliament hill in order to protect their pensions. I will however look into your suggestion. I've decided that I don't know everything yet so I must go on learning. As the old german professor said, "Ve get too shoon olde and too late shmart." My mind is sound and my memory perfect. Why, just the other day I
