Do you remember the comics being called...the slippery section?

Ps: This site is monitored but not actively posting on a regular basis. Mostly these are stories & some photos saved from a defunct site known as Verdun Connections which was on MSN Groups initially then on a social network called Multiply.

Hi beeaired,.....I don't Remember it being called the slippery section,....but I do Remember how on Saturday's I would race to get the star weekly out of the paper,...and the comices were usually slipped innside the star weekly mag as well,........it was the only part of the Newspaper you were allowed to take,...until the oldman had read the paper,......hahahahaha I can see how it may have been called the slippery section as it always fell out of the paper as soon as you grabbed it,..... Good recall for that one....................... HF&RV
I remember it been called slippery,I think they were a glossy comics if I remember. Steve
i liked them because they were easy to read and had pictures to help ya!
Hey watchit-fella.........as a kid on 3rd avenue, I delivered the "Star Weekly"..so quit compalining about the slippery comic sections....... cookie hehehe
