Les F

You are the first person who sent me a
message!!!

Thanks. It was great to see the photo's of the
Chief Commanda. It is a whole new boat now and on pontoons

again. Next time I have my pictures developed I
will send you some. The lake was a major factor in me moving here.

Growing up next to the mighty St Lawerence I had to
be close to the water.

Hope to chat with you soon
Lynn

Good morning Lynn,  'levisjeans7',.....One thing I Remember about NorthBAy,.was that as kids making SandCastles on the Beach (my Aunt lived right on the beach,.....and so we could play there most of the day,but one of the things that I have not come across anywhere else, that I can Remember anyway,....was that the consistency of the sand,....was (if you grabbed a handful from just under the water,....it came out like a mix of sand & mud,....and we could make ,what we called 'drip castles'..............hahahaha the sand if dripped from your hand properly, would make like turetts (just like Disney's CAstle) or so we thought...................I will try to find a picture , hahahah .........I also seem to Remember the 'leeches' or bloodsuckers ,in that water,........(I think it was there).............anyway it was all fun ,as a kid,......it is a Beautiful Lake,...............but you can have my share of Black Flies,.and mosquitoes............hahahahah Northern Ontario,is definetly very nice,..... I was astounded a few years ago,.when I had cause to drive in to North BAy,.I didn't recognise anything ,.as the popultation,or at least the amount of houses certainly had changed since I had been there as a kid,....it seemed fairly busy,....abd big,.........mind you 4 decades can do that to ana area.............hahahahaha           Good Talking to You,....I think you've promted my memories from there,...more than we have for you with Verdun..........(but we'll fix that..................)    Have a look through all the picture albums ,.and you'll find some neat stuff,....all about Verdun / Plattsburg / Montreal..........and growing up in general back there......
