Hi Linda, You win, your hill is bigger than ours! LOL Yep, Ladysmith is finally on the map, we now have a Timmy's in town! Yippee! Love it here, you are right every place on the island is nice. Take Care, Carole
Yes Carole ,.our family came through GriffinTown, the Point,.and Verdun,Lasalle....then for me out West in the 70's still here,......My oldmans shop was also on Smith St (which is now considered part of Wellington,(te part where our shop was ,..then expropriation by the City of montreal ,cause they needed the property for access to the Expo67 grounds,.(expressway to it),so the move to Mullins Street,............and so on & so on ,...etc etc,..So all Incidentally ,we hope you've got a big box filled with old pictures of Montreal days,..we love all that stuff,.....stories too ! ..........................Btw way those 3 wise men were reportdley from the East ,weren't they....................hahahahaha
My dad was born in Griffintown. My relatives that lived in the Pointe were Warren, Harris, Clarke, Dwyer. Did you know anyone by those last names? I lived there till I was 5 then we moved to Verdun. We moved out here in 2000. My sister was the accountant at the Royal Bank in the Pointe for over 20 years. What was the name of your dad's shop? I'll bet my sister knew him! She knew just about everyone in the Pointe. I will have to go through the box of old pictures, see what I can find. My sister has lots, next time I see her I will have to ask her. Carole
