Advertisements 1946 VHS
I made a copy of this advertising page from the VHS 1946 yearbook. I recognize Verdun Stamp & Hobby Shop and J.A.Gagnon Deparmental Store. These stores may bring back memories.
Hi, Guy, Lamarre's Hardware does it for me, sir. That's where I first watched television when I was a child. Lamarre's had one of the first little black and white television sets on display and often they'd let the children sit on the floor to watch some programs. Nice people, from what I remember. Thanks for the memories, Guy. Regards, everyone, Jack
Another advertisement page , this time form the 1947 VHS yearbook. Do any members remember any of these stores, perhaps they will bring back memories such as such as Jack. Guy
Leonard's meat market I remmber well. On Saturday's my Mom went there to buy the meat on sale. I remember well, Hamburger , hot dogss and sausage all being 3 pounds for $1.00 and it would be portioned out a put in that little upper leaft hand corner freezer in thge refridgerator which came after the Ice Box. Of course that left no room for the intended space for 2 Ice cube trays. Ruth
