4JMH
JMH a few weeks back ,you posted a picture Downtown Victoria,....yesterday I walked around Downtown ,and took some pics,........
That's why I love it here Winston,.........I took those pictures yeasterday afternoon,...and I walked all over Downtown,as well as across the bridge to the Princess Mary Restaurant,........and saw no evidence of any snow left here,....Victoria is fortunate that way,.Our snow was gone within 4-5 days after the dumping,........(and that'longer than usual,..normally it will be gone ,the same ,if not the next day,..but occasionally hangs around a bit)Even after being hit with 3 separate windstorms in a row,.....there was little damage Downtown, that I could find,.Here's the extent ,that I saw a restaurant near a friend of mines shop,..had one side of it's sign blown out,.....the sign to the far right of this picture says Pauls Motor Inn (on Douglas St ,Victoria 's main downtown street),.........well here's the other side of that sign:albeit the City of Victoria elected to temporarily remove the Christmas Decorations from the Downtown poles,...(smart idea,.although they probably had to disturb the City workers from their customary 4hr nap........hahahaha)They recently had to eliminate the City employee's morning coffeebreak,..as it only served to have them 'tossing & turning' at their desks, and in the trucks ,.all afternoon....................hahahahaha
