Hi Maggy, Thanks for the info. I never knew why the cross was erected on the mountain. I sure hope it never becomes a topic of debate and banning as I have wittnessed in the U.S. Such as the banning of Nativity Scenes in front of government buildings. I find it a double standard considering that the Motto of the country says "In God we Trust". Just another example of why I am still a Canadian Citizen even though I have lived in the U.S for 47 years. Ruth
