'Trick or Treat', although known about from US TV shows back then,
would have been embarrassing to use. Our immaturity and the candy
bonanza obscured the real significance of what 'Charity Please' really
meant I think. I wonder where that humble phrase originated from? Maybe
we have to thank merry old England.
