only $ 1.5 BILLION, for a Stadium estimated to cost no more than $120M
Here's the story in todays Montreal Gazette:
Now I wonder where they will channel the money now,......fixing potholes,might be a good start,.building bridges & overpass's that last a little longer than the last ones which collapsed,......Montreal is full of buildings and structures dating back hundreds of years,...and didn't cost ridiculous sums to build,.... but billions spent on the Stadium ,and overpass's and they all had there incident of chunks falling off them....in less thab 35 years:

The big O only needs a new roof now....Shouldn't cost to much....I'm guessing $1,500,000,000( a billion and a half) maybe???? See that I am not a cussing man, I will make a exception here. Those friggin' politicians are the same all over the world. Like down here. They are not suppose to accept gifts over a nominal amount...if they do they are suppose to report them. A lot of them have said ;"Oh I forgot to report that", on more than one accassion. Like going to Japan on a 2 week golfing trip, with the wife and kiddies, on a Corparate jet, to the tune of tens of thosands of dollars. I forgot!!!! Of course that is just one example of many. AND not only one politician saying things like that. Hell I bet you and I wouldn't forget. The sobs!!!!!
