I wonder if it's easier to just post this link, it takes a little time to open ( at least that's what I have found) but it allows the viewer to scroll thoruhg all the same pictures, without having to load them anywhere or scroll too much : Here's the link....................   I hope this works: http://www.google.ca/search?q=Histoire+de+Montreal+Ou+comment+une+ville+se+metamorphose+en+siecle&hl=en&lr=&cr=countryCA&start=10&sa=N   ................this is in PDF ........but I beleive it to be the exact project ,that you are posting Gary......(You be the Judge)

Thanks, Arbutus . . .   for posting those great B&Ws.  Seeing figures of people in old photos like that always makes me wonder who they were, what they did, when they died, where are their descendants now . . . all those kinds of questions.   Just imagine if some of them were related to members of this site, and these members might be looking at their ancestors.  Interesting thought, indeed.   Jack

The site below is attached to the U of Montreal and has a great number of photos depicting Montreal from 1865 to 1925. SUPER FASCINATING I think. I can't even imagine what it would have been like to live back then, GOD - no laptops, no Giant Screen TVs, no MP3 players, no cell phones, no BMWs Lexus Jaguar Mercedes luxury automobiles with computerized engines no air conditioning etc etc etc Can You Just Imagine LOL......      CLICK HERE   http://www.geog.umontreal.ca/donnees/geo3282/Gen%C3%A8se/Montr%C3%A9alPhotos.pdf
