I also Remember Peter Brown,.I think there family lived on or near 3rd & Verdun Av. I had heard that Peter had moved to Vancouver (but this info would be from the very late 70's or very early 80's,..........I seem to recall that someone had mentioned running into Peter Brown (& possibly Billy Lynch),...at some house party in those years,...?? Don't really remember all the details to that,....but safe to say if there's a party going on of ex-Montrealers....a lot of them will find it I almost seem to think they may have lived on Verdun????? or 4th-ish ??
I do believe they lived on 3rd ave at that time. I lived on 5th ave. Peter was the youngest of the three and Alan was the oldest with Jimmy somewhere in between , although I don't think there was more than 5 years between them . When I knew Alan at that time i.e. 1964/65 his girlfriend was Jeanne Fab.
Hi, Peter lives in Verdun or Ville Emard and was living in Vancouver for some time. Jimmy lives on Woodland in Verdun or near there. I have seen him around there on his way home from work. He always hung out with Charlie (Tex) Watt at the Blue Angel or War Amps. Both bars are gone now. The next time I see Jimmy I will ask for Allan's # but I'm not sure if they talk much. Danny
Hi all...Merry Christamas to ya all..and a great New Year....Yes the Browne boys lived on 3rd between Bannantyne and Verdun...As far as I know Allan lives up north and is still a teacher..yup him and Jean Fabb were married for awhile, he is re-married now...Peter is on Egan in Verdun..and Jimmy is still in Verdun, still in touch with him now and then...He has left his job..he is quite sick..going to be talking to him soon..going to tell him about this wonderful place...he is such a nostalgic he will love it here....Toni...how are you doing?...Great to see the family pictures..say hi to Ernie and Quintin for me...I was in class with them, so I think they will remember me... June Broniszewski...3rd Ave.
Would Alan Brown have gone to VCHS around 1963/64? I remember an Alan Brown that all the girls used to drool over. Could it be the same one? He was tall dark and handsome! Several girls would plaster themselves against the school gate and just sigh over him!
Hi maybelle03, When you are talking to Jimmy, can you tell him Brother Biggs said hi and wishes him the best. I have heard of his illness and hope things are going well. He is a friend that goes way back. We have shared many cold ones with the same company in the same places. Thanks Danny
Hi .This is an old message,but...any more news on Jimmy Brown? Was sad to her he was sick.
Hi queenee66, A friend of mine told me that Jimmy is doing pretty well lately. He was told that by Peter. I do not know any more than that. Danny
Hi queenee Talked to Jimmy Brown about 2 weeks ago...didn't talk long because the Do-Wop music was on the tv, and if you know Jimmy..he was just consumed with it. Anyway he is still in Verdun, his spirits are good, although he gets pissed with the doctors, because he has to remind them to give him a follow-up...yea..scarey.. He has a hard time getting hungry and is on Ensure...but still goes out on Friday nights for his rum and coke..then takes 3 days to recover..but his sense of humor is still there...I have told him about VC but he doesn't have a puter...Danny I forgot to mention you to him, but I will next time I talk to him..probably talk to him next week and will keep you up-dated. June
Hi maybelle03, I'm still trying to place you and your brother Frankie. Do you have any pictures from when you lived on third that you can post. Danny
Hi Danny, Thanks for the info.Do you know Maureen Breslin/Hunt? B.F.N. ,
Hi June, Thanks for the info. Yep the medical system in Quebec is kind of scary!! Good excuse to try and stay healthy .,You know what they say"if you are sick ,the worst place to be is in the hospital" If anyone connects with Alan, B. ask him if he still has his pipe? Hope Jimmy stays well. Thanks again.
Actually there were 5 brothers: Alan, Jimmy, David, Peter & Paul; they lived on 3rd Ave, odd side of the street up near Bannantyne, right across from Patty Cunningham I think - Patty lived at 750 3rd, I think; I last saw Alan and David at Peggy Winsor's funeral service several years ago...David's in Alberta, Jimmy & Peter are still in the Verdun area, no idea where Paul is. Alan might be teaching up north, as that was his profession for quite some time
I saw paul at a friends place ( one of harry charron's sons place) about two years ago. here in verdun.
I used to know Kenny Charron. Any relation?
Hey, June, how's your brother Frank doing? nosmoht -naed

Hi Allan
I don't know if you would remember me but I use to go out with your brother David when I was 14-15. I just read today about Jimmy's passing and tried to send a message in the guest book but it wasn't excepting any more. I wanted to send my condolences to you, David, Peter and Paul and his children. Please pass on my deep sympathy to your family . I was back in Verdun for Linda Lafleur's wedding last june and she mentioned that Jimmy lived in Verdun. So sad that I did not get a chance to see him. I remember Jimmy as being a warm and outgoing person. Best wishes
Sandra MacDonald
Hi Sandra, Sorry it took so long to reply. I remember your name, and honestly I can't picture you. Thank you very much for your sympathies, I'll pass them on to Dave Peter & Paul Dave has been living out west since before the calgary olympics and I don't even know the year. He lives in Canmore just before the gates to Banff national park. His kids (boy & girl) are grown up now. Lately, he's been talking of moving, but not sure where to. Peter and Paul are living in Verdun. I see them once in a while when I travel south to Montreal. I've retired from education and live up on the Hudson bay coast in Kuujjuaraapik. It's nice to hear about and from old friends from our youth. I see paddy Cunningham once in a while. He lives on west island in Pointe Claire. Keep in touch when you get a chance. a_brown383@hotmail.com
