JMH & JohnMelinvin,.............this must be a sign of the times, as here in Victoria BC ,.they (the prsent prov. govt') has been closing elementary schools all over the place,.and then eventually selling them to developpers,.....Arguments against ,range from turning them into social housing ,.or still using them as schools ,.....They just passed a new 'law'?? saying that the Provincial Gov't can no longer sell these property's without First offering them to the local Gov't.s & minicipalities ......not sure if they get the choice to havce them for nothing or a dollar or something,.but it gets them out of the Provinceas hands ,.and therefore unloads the cost of upkeep,maintenance,........ There just doesn't seem to be enough children to fill these schools anymore,...with our ever aging population,......Imagine all of us (or most of us here on Verdun Connections ) are baby boomers,.........who were going to live forever & change the world,.are all starting to Retire or Drop Dead......Yikes !!............................................. from Flower Power & Peace.... to Naps ...................................hahahahahahaha HF&RV
