John Lennon.
Hard to believe John Lennon has been dead 25 years.

It is indeed hard to come to terms with a quarter of a century of time passing by seemingly in a flash. The BBC have a great website deveoted to Lennon. It's still up and I hope they leave it up for a while because there is a treasure trove of interviews , etc there. Have a look: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/lennon/ BobB
Great BBC listening. I remember becoming a Lennon fan after the Beatles began to shift to the psychedelic mode, and especially after hearing their 'Revolution Number 9' for the first time. I could not believe what I was listening to, wow! Lennon apparently had a thing about numerology and especially the number 9. Bill

I love all the phases and styles the Beatles went through. Impossible to pigeon hole them. Lennon's Birthday is Oct. 9. Actually, I believe his son Sean shares that birthday as well.
I remember bringing home Sgt. Pepper's and listening to it....and then again ..... and again....as I tried to get into what it was about. I don't have that kind of memory about too many other albums.
I think things started to get psychedelic araound about the time Revolver came out. Interesting music. To be a fly on the wall as they were writing their songs.
Some other Lennon favourites of mine:
Love God Working Class Hero Jealous Guy Girl In My Life

25 years already...Imagine. Great website.
Yes, Imagine indeed. It flies by. I just had another look at the BBC website and unfortunately it looks like today may be its last day up. BobB

Bob did you like Lennon's 'Imagine' song? I thought it was a brave new
world he was dreaming about.

Hi Bill
I love Imagine. I think it is a masterpiece. In so many ways it epitomizes what John was about. It 's that dreamer that I think we miss the most.
BobB
amen
Another lovely song he wrote is Julia (his Mom).
