THANKS for stopping by, I do my best to acknowledge when someone leaves a comment, you do not have to be a member here & everyone is welcome.
Ps: This site is monitored but not actively posting on a regular basis. Mostly these are stories & some photos saved from a defunct site known as Verdun Connections which was on MSN Groups initially then on a social network called Multiply.
I lived between Willibrord and Rielle on LaSalle in the mid-sixties - mid-seventies. I had a frien that lived beside the store on Gordon and LaSalle. Her name was Marie and her sister was Sylvia. I ran into them in Calgary in the 80's.
Sorry, I moved away in 1960 to the Point and then joined the Canadian Forces in 1962 and was posted to Calgary Alberta. What were your friends last names that lived near the store?
Hi Rolly, One thing you will find out about Verdun Connections is that the members don't complete their profile. There are not too many people that went to Bannantyne School that are our age. Really the only postings I have seen are from Beverly Kane and I am quite sure you knew her as she was one of the nicest individuals in our time at Bannantye. I noticed Guy sent you a picture of Lasalle Road School and you said it was before your time. Guy was actually the one driving the car in that picture. Just kidding of course you will find Guy one of the best on this site. He gets all kind of information that brings back a lot of memories for people who don't live in the area anymore. There are also a lot of other individuals who can bring back memories about the great city of Verdun. I hope you enjoy this site. Reggie Paine

The last name is escaping me at this time. Did you have Miss McNaughton at Bannantyne school? Did anyone out there know Ray Haberfield?
