VHS Basketball 1951-52
Hi dflood and any one else interested.Morton Bain's name popped up recently and some folks wondered what happened to him. We played Basketball on the VHS Senior teams, (1951-52) even won a Championship! He was a good point guard and high scorer, a team player and well liked by everyone. He lives in Dorval (retired) and dedicated his life to learning and teaching. Taught at VHS, was a Principal at VHS, went on to teach and administrate (Montreal School Board) taught at Mcgill University for 22 years, was the Director of Education there.Quite the accomplishments and a credit to his olde friends, Family, VHS Alumni, teachers and students. It was so great to get in touch with him after over 50 years! sez Victah1

Remembering the sheds and lanes
Boy oh girl , did we ever love the lanes, playing kick the can and stando , used to have sheds that held coal in the old days , and the back stairs , what are your memories of the back lanes and sheds, Jimmy
Why we left Verdun
Someone in another post said " If Verdun was so great why did we all leave " good question, My father after the 2nd world war built a house on the Lakeshore , the Veterans Land Act allowed him to borrow the money cheap and that's how we ended up on the Lakeshore, probably to better ourselves in his mind , I have never looked back , although the move from Verdun at the time broke my heart, but the great memories of growing up and learning the Street Smarts in Verdun remain to this day, what about you ????? I don't know how many times I've tried to reply to
messages to be told to sign in. Each time I have done so I'm told to show
my password. Each time I am told there is already someone with this
password I'd like to let to you know it's ME. I finally cancelled
so-called membership. Tried to go on with a new password but had the same
problem. Now MSN tells me I am a new member, and welcome. What am I
doing wrong? Help///

Man of the year awards.
USNavyBob. Now I am alll teary eyed about those "Man-of-the-year" awards. Chivalry is not dead. Only the men who practice it are. Keep those cards and letters, AND AWARDS coming. Winston Allison
