Ile des Soeurs - Nun's Island
Une vue de l'Ile des Soeurs. A view of Nun's Island.
Hi Guy! I really appreciate your bilingual postings! The link on the Nun's Island posting though only brings up another window with that message in it. Is the picture also posted in the "picture album" section?
Maggie, I clicked in the shaded area on the bottom of my message in the shaded area showing Ile des Soeurs and the picture shows up. The picture is in my Attachment file but not in my Picture file. I can't understand how come you are having problems viewing the picture. Guy
There's a book called "Montreal The Unknown City" from about 2 years back with a funny story on how the land was bought and sold in 1955, somebody paid $5,000 for the whole thing and then sold it for $2 million a few weeks later, says the book, which has other good stories in it too.
Hi megaforce, Are you referring to the following book: Montreal: the unknown city. Authors: Kristian Gravenor and John David Gravenor., 271 p, Arsenal Pulp Press (2002). ISBN 1551521199
Also, Peter Paradis has a book out called Nasty Business that discusses his role in the biker drug war in Verdun. Mentions a few places but not much specific. It's a good book as well.

Maybe I was having a seniors' moment. It works now. Thanks Guy.
