Why we left Verdun

Someone in another post said " If Verdun was so great why did we all leave " good question, My father after the 2nd world war built a house on the Lakeshore , the Veterans Land Act allowed him to borrow the money cheap and that's how we ended up on the Lakeshore, probably to better ourselves in his mind , I have never looked back , although the move from Verdun at the time broke my heart, but the great memories of growing up and learning the Street Smarts in Verdun remain to this day, what about you ?????   Jimmy

Why did we leave? Because we "dared to dream". Most of us were given that opportuniy by our teachers and families. That too is all a part of who we are and where we are from. I don't think we were any different than the youth of today.

Was born in Verdun. My parents bought a house in Dorval in 1956. Way cheaper than paying the landlord for a place that he would not repair.Have you figured out what the rent after all those years living there would amount too?.Still a Verdunite tho.!!!
