Kudos to Ralph the Utensil Man

Thanks for the pictures Ralph!!!! Kudos to you! Wow! Wish we could have afforded to decorate our FLATS on the Avenues in the late 40's and early '50's! Sure would have brightened the Wintry Nights. Some of those folks, today, do go all out! We used to walk down to and along Wellington Street to see the brightly decorated Store Windows. Of course there was no comparison to UPTOWN, Eaton's, Simpson's and Morgans! Just roaming in those warm and decorated stores, was the greatest FREEBEE! Your pictures brought back plenty of memories! Yikes! Real Christmas trees!!!Cosy looking place y'all have. (The trains were great too!) Thanks for youtr efforts, Happy New Year to all!

Victah, thanks for your kind comments. I have very fond memories of Verdun, and enjoy taking pictures and sharing with the members of Verdun Connections. Thanks also to Maggie for putting one of my photos on the home page, this is very much appreciated. The photo on the home page is of the block of 1123,1125,1127, 1129 Desmarchais near Champlain Blvd.            Ralph, aka multipurposeutensil
