Jiffy Lube
Does this site open for you? national rip offs getting busted on-line. Terrific. I was ripped by this company once.
Bill. This one did open. We all feel we are getting ripped off. This just shows we sometimes are. I never go to those places, but still am not 100% happy to the place I do go. But I am somewhat comfortable with them. Go one Bill. Thanks

Isn't it great we have a place to go to complain and get justice. The internet will slow these greedy pukes down. The Utube vidoes are hurting these businesses in the pocket books. I remember Sears lube shops doing the same, and were exposed on line. However Jiffy Lube has a shop in one of our Sears stores. Bill
I had the same problem with a Canadian Tire service store a couple of years ago wich I reported on this site. They changed a head gasket at a cost of $1200. while only the thermostat had to be changed at a cost of $10.00. I complained to the store manager and even the head office in Toronto but I did not get anywhere. These stores are fanchises I guess similar to Jiify Lube and each shop is out to make as much money as possible, regardless. We have to be vigilent and be very skeptical at all times as we are very vulnerable. Guy
Guy I think the internet will keep businesses and politicians honest in the long run. We all have short memories. Politicians flip flop over time to take advatage of the current popular opinions, but b/c we can observe these opposing statements side by side on uTube etc., then we can hold thier feet to the fire. For instance, R. Giuliani and H. Clinton have both been guilty. Giuliani on immigration and Clinton on Universal health Care. Without uTube we would have long forgotten their previous and now unpopular declarations. Wonderful! Bill
Seems Fairly Simple to me..................find someone you ae comfortable with ( just like the old days),.....People that 'know' you somewhat better than a Glorified Drive Thru.................may take a better interrest in your carDid You 'REALLY" expect anything different in this day & age ,.....or even Years ago............Use your noodle ---the one in Btwn everyone's ears)..............and Check most things out,..............or is your Pimary Goal to end up on YouTube (or something similar).................YIKES I Remember a Verdun that ,taught all of us to think,..........& also watch out for the Snakes in Life........................have we forgotten to use Our heads ,..and content to just Remember when we got screwed..........................hahahahaha Use Your Head (all the time) and don't forget to: Have Fun and Remember Verdun
I agree Les. Let the buyer beware. It had taken me many years of hard knocks to learn this. Mistrusting people is not natural for me, and must be overcome. It all very distasteful. Bill
You are right Bill,...it really is a sad commentary on life,.when we just cannot simply 'trust' others,.....Although I do believe that 'most' people are trustworthy & good people ,,,,but unfortunately we also need to 'trust' our own instincts,as greed does sometimes motivate some to do the wrong thing,.........It has been around forever,.but we need to be on guard, without needing to be distrustfull of everyone...............but I do think that most people are good people,In that Jiffy Lube expose,.it was odd to watch how some otherwise Ok people were led (lead) to be Ok with 'hosing people' as they figured they had to........to keep their jobs,..,, and it seemed that the directives ,came right from the top...........Good to bring these things back to mind though,.as it serves as a reminder for us all,to not take things for granted....... Thanks for the headsup Bill HF&RV

Bill, do your "on-site" posts work immediately but your emailed ones get lost?
Exactly. When I email a post it gets lost most of the time. Occasionally it is posted immediately.
