Baby Kenneth
I hope that baby Kenneth is doing ok today. My thoughts are with him.
Hi Levisjeans! Yes he's is doing just great and hopefuly will be back home tonight or by tomorrow at the latest My month old grandson had surgery last night for a common condition call pyloric stinosis. He was fine for the first 3 weeks after birth, but then he started vomiting and it became projectile vomiting...the family doctor thought he was lactose intollerant ...but did set up an appointment with a pediatrician, which was scheduled for today, but by Saturday morning my daughter and son-in-law decided to take him to the Halifax Children's hospital where he was admitted right away.... This condition is very common, and usually becomes evident anywhere from 3 weeks up to 5 months after birth...in a nut shell...it is a narrowing of the duodenum...the tube that leads from the stomach to the small intestine, so the formula or milk could not be digested and there for would come back up.... Anyway, all is well, and he's doing so much better. He has gained back some of the weight he lost and his colour is good......My daughter and her husband have been at the hospital around the clock.....they will be very happy to be back home. Dianne
