Mostly these are stories & some photos saved from a defunct site known as Verdun Connections which was on MSN Groups initially then on a social network called Multiply.

I saw this last year and it moved me to tears....what a great gift and unspeakable sacrifice the previous generation made for us -- that we could live in peace. Let us never forget, and never give in to those who want to change our way of life! Pam
