Lest We Forget
Thanks for posting the poppy on the Home Page. Much appreciated.
I was uptown or as some people call it down town. I was walking along St,Catherine street.I finally saw someone selling Poppies.he was a younger guy maybe in his thities he even pinned the Poppy on my coat.I usually end up buying at least 3 a year because I end up losing them.I walked further along St,Catherine street there was 3 more vets. One lady her name is Dusty she is about 85 years old she is on the same corner Peel and St,Catherine every year the mans name is Francis Badlley, spelling. There was another lady on the other side of the St,They are from the Point Legion.I didn't see to many people waring Poppies and it was busy it was around lunch time. WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
In BC the Provincial Government issued a special licence plate to mark the Year of the Veteran - 2005. See attached photo. The plates are available to Veterans who served: during wartime in a post-war capacity, or during a NATO or UN operation, including members of the RCMP and Municipal Police ~

This plate is a great idea to honour vets. Unfortunately, this type of plate will never even be considered in La Belle Province........mpu
