Turcot Yards

They have started to demolish the Turcot Yards at the corner of Angrignon and Pullman. The building behind pictures 1, 2 and 3 was completely demolished. I think they may keep the front building on Pullman since they did not touch it. Perhaps they will demolish the other old  blue roof  receiving and shippping docks in the other 2 pictures. I am curious to know what they plan on doing with this stragically situated land. It is cetainly taking a lot of time to develop this area.

Good question Guy ,.I wonder how long ,.and how many developpers it will take,.or one large corporation,to be able to secure the funding for such a developpement., Intersting piece of property though,.it would be extremely close to everything from going Downtown,.or out to the West Island,......& situated near every main highway,.....May even be a good investment spot ,for a 'longterm' (that's code for ,younger people than us......hahahaha) I would think tey could build it into a sustainable neighbourhood that would incorporate both residential & light commercial  (nothing Noisy) ........a young person getting in there today, could probably sell at an advantage 20 years later ,when it's their turn to get older & want out of the city. I wonder what views could be had from there, depending on Height I guess,,,,, Thanks forthose updat pics,..............Our old City is finally changing and moving forward,.......I wonder where all the trains go now,........How much shipping goes on,...I can almost see it with a lot of Green space,......& Trees,..... of course water spaces would have to be in te way of Pools & community centers,...???              Metalman get in their & start building us a new Montreal.............                          psst: Don't forget to build a Spuce Beer / Steamie / Smoked Meat / Pizza ,restaurant/..............................

I passed by this area recently and noticed that the old loadng docks are practically all demolished. It looks like the new Turcot Yard project ia a reality after all. This will completely transform this stragecally situated area wich will include the Lachine canal. I will be watching this prohject very closely as I go by practically every week. Guy

I would think that the view from Upper Lachine Rd,..will really change,... and probably seem quite odd at first with no elevated ,concrete spagetti highways going all over the place,.......it should be very interesting to watch the changes.........................              HF&RV

The Lad said he worked at Turcot.....that's a laugh. He and I put time in at the CN Turcot garage. In fact, I would put a new floor mop on my head and we would dance around in the CN stores dept. He told me that I was so light on my feet. haha
