Anyone remember the late scientist Carl Sagan? He appeared on Johnny
Carson many times during the 80s. His M.O. was, 'billions and
billions...' I have his DVD disk set of PBS 'Cosmos' which I highly
recommend for yourselves, kids or grandkids. Trust me, it's not dated.
I haven't been in the mood for a space documentary for awhile, but
last night I fired up disk 1: episode 1, and as always, was totally
transfixed.

I remember him well. He was a fascinating guy. He also wrote a novel ...... Contact, which I loved. Made into a film a few years ago. A brilliant man. Cosmos was also made into a book.

Carl Sagan died of cancer at a relatively early age. Very unfortunate. Guy
