Pinky stamps
Can remember my mom yelling at me did ya get the pinky stamps and if so..put them in the book.
I remember Gold Star stamps - my younger sister took control of them - yessir no messing about with HER stamps. She of course had to share the loot - we both got roller skates and then she decided on a set of dishes for my mother. We also had pinky stamps from Steinbergs - my aunt and uncle collected Mark Ten packet stubs - 1-1/2 for a pack of 25. I remember that she gave me a hand held mixer - she had sent coupons in for either a first selection colour or a green one - she got both with the one amount of Mark Ten coupons - bonus,
Remember the encyclopedias Steinberg's sold? The first issue sold for one cent, the following books were 99 cents each. Back in the days when Pepsi-Cola sold for 36 cents a six pack plus 6 cents deposit. A quart of KIK-Cola was 15 cents per bottle plus 5 cents deposit. I used to love The KIK-Cola sign on the corner of Atwater & St. Catherine. KIK-Cola, Montreal's largest selling quart bottle of cola.
