Lorna Reid:
I see you live in Cornwall. We visited my wife's mother at the Chateau Gardens nursing home in beautiful downtown Lancaster last weekend. I expect that we will be making regulars visits for the immediate future.
I went for a walk in the Cooper Marsh Conservation Park on Saturday. It is an impressive facility.
As for Lancaster, how does this community survive? I expect that a number of residents live in eastern Ontario and work in the west island of Montreal.

Gord. Are you planning on attending this year's Verdun Xmas reunion? Hopefully, there won't be many deer on Interstate 90 when I drive through. Glen
Hin Glen ......you mentiom the Verdun Reunion, you are speaking of the one at the Stathcona Hotel in Toronto aren't you..........if you get a chance ,it would be great to see a bunch of updated pics .....& if you forget to turn off I-90 and find yourself in Seattle, then hopp on the Port Angeles Ferry & have a beer here in Victoria........hahaha That is one long long Highway ( a good hwy) but long....
I went to VCHS then married and moved to Lancaster ONtario. Was just there in July when I went home to Montreal for the first time since I'm 21 to visit my sis and bro who live in ST.Hubert. Went to Lancaster to pick up my Aunt and see some friends I am still in touch with. Small world!

Les. Yes, the reunion is the one annually held at the Strahcona. Always a good time. Last year while heading up to Toronto from Syracuse, I actually hit a deer on I 90 doing 75 MPH. The car had some major damage, but not as much as Bambi. I have made it to each and every reunion, as it is always a great evening to reminisce with old friends from Verdun. I will most certainly be there again this year, Bambi willing, of course.
Glen: I'll definately be attending this year. Actually the deer incident last year was somewhat fortuitous. It seems a pre-paid room at the Strathcona suddenly became available. I must buy you a beer when I see you. Gord
Les: I wanted to take my digital camera last year. My wife suggested (likely correctly) that 5 quarts of "50" and a digital camera may not necessarily be a compatible combination. Last year we had seven attendees from Egan Avenue. If we can convince Wayne Umanski to show up this year, we can up the number. We really should take attendance, along with Verdun addresses. Gord
Gord. I'll look forward to seeing you and all the others at this year's reunion. I will definitely be keeping a "Bambi" watch along Interstate 90. Hopefully, "I" will be able to use the room "I" pay for this year. If need be, however, you are most welcome to crash on the floor. Or perhaps with Butler. An ugly thought there. I'm going to the Syracuse Crunch hockey game tomorrow night with Bobby O'Reilly. Always some great old Verdun stories when we get together. I usually see Brian Elwell at the Crunch games as well. I would think some of the people who visit this site would remember him from his Verdun hockey days. I will try and get Bobby to make the trip to the reunion with me this year. And by the way, I have already penciled in the free beer offer from you. See you soon.Hopefully I won't arrive with a deer strapped to my hood. Or, under it. Glen
Hi Gordo904 your wife is thinking.....(take a throw away) scan them later and post them ...lot cheaper than losing or breaking a good digital.......Hav a Good Time ...and make it 6 qts,. this year and have one for me...........hahahaha
