Crotchety Harry Truman remains an icon of the eruption
Hi ElTex ......thanks for posting the Harry Truman story , quite an interesting character.......I 'd heard alot of stories about him , but not that particular article..... for those who haven't read it if your interested here's the address again http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/mountsthelens/hary11.shtml Sounds like a buried treasure story now ...I wonder if in years to come some adveterous treasure hunter will seek it out.........after all they probably never thought they'd find the Titanic,and it was alittl deeper then 150 ft.............hahahaha
