Anyone remember Sanders +/or Minchinton Family?
Hi. My grandmother grew up in Verdun. She remembers when most of the area was still covered in fields! I was wondering if anyone remembers the Sanders family, children were: Mimi, Alec, Marge, Albert and Gladys. Also interested in any memories of the Minchinton family. Would love to hear from anyone with a connection to these families. Thanks. Kelly

did Albert live at the last house when the 58 bus
turned was his wife in the hospital down the street.
I am sure I knew Albert.
My parents lived next door to Albert & Joyce Sanders on Ouimet for many years. Albert unfortunately passed away last year from cancer, but last I heard Joyce was still alive and has resided at the hospital down the street for many years suffering from Alzheimer's. Albert was devoted to her and visited her every day to feed her breakfast, lunch and dinner and make sure she was tucked into bed every night. I don't know what happened to their children -- they had at least 3 that I was aware of but cannot recall their names -- 2 sons and a daughter I believe. They were a lovely couple and wonderful friends and neighbours -- always looking out for others, especially Albert. He often popped into my mom's house for a short chat and to pass along the latest neighbourhood gossip and jokes. He had an infectious laugh and was always in a happy mood. When my parents moved to the south shore, Albert was quite distraught, but they kept in touch. May he rest in peace -- he deserves it! Pam
thats Albert to a t its sad to hear that he passed .my mom
came good friends while he visited the hospital shes still there.
Originally lived on Valiquette near Beurling. My parents moved to Crawford after we two kids were out of the house and they could finally afford to buy! They lived between the Sanders and the Lagalisse family. Wesley rings a bell -- could be the eldest. I didn't know the kids and by the time my parents moved next door, the Sanders kids were all moved away (at least out of Crawford Park).
Kids were Bruce, Linda, Keith, Mary-Jill, Wesley.
Kids were Bruce, Linda, Keith, Mary-Jill, Wesley. They are now scattered through Ontario ,and the USA.
