Ernie, what a surprise I had while browsing through the photographs you posted.  I use to live at 330 Regina I don't remember the exact years but it was sometime in the early to mid 70's.  There was a garage at the side of the house beside the entrance as you mention in your caption.  Thanks for the memory.   Louise Gibson

Not certain where the Ginn Bros factory was.  I remember a factory type building on Regina between Gertrude and Ethel on the east side.  If memory holds true the building was painted blue.  The used to be a Fish and Chip store that still wrapped up his fish in newspapers but by 72 or so it was gone.  That lot is now a gas station.    There was also the factory on the corner of Regina and Evelyne on the west side.   The Lynn family lived next door to it on the Evelyne St side and to the south was the laneway.  I always had it in my mind that it was a wharehouse for a book company.   It's now been turned into a series of lofts.

Louise,   Isn't that a coincidence.   The family who lived at 330 Regina before us was the Phillips family.  The children had all grown up and moved out leaving just the mother... Who was a wonderful old lady.   If memory serves me right Mrs Phillips moved into a seniors home and her eldest son and his family lived towards Cool St.   For the firt year or so he would stop by and pick up mail for his mom.   I didn't remember who had moved in to the house after us but my brother Andy did and remnded me of a story which jogged my memory and we're both pretty certain it was your family.   Just plain wierd...   You can imagine my surprise when I looked across the street and sawthe store front from Martin's Cleaner all briked up and turned into a house

The bakery on Wellington a door or two down from the Dominion store was Rosaire's I remember going in a being able to buy a "Scrap Bag".  For 10 cents or a maybe 25 cents, you'd get a brown paper kraft bag just stuffed with the edges, trimmings and mussed up sections of what ever pies or pasteries they had baked the day before.   I fondly remember my favorite was Mille Feuilles (Whipped Cream not Custard).    As kids we didn't care what they looked like we just gorged ourselves and enjoyed it all.     I didn't notice if they were still there or not.
