We have both Tim Horton's and Krispey Creme donuts in Brampton and I would rather have the Krispey Cremes. If you go to their store you also get a free donut while you are waiting. Margo
yes they do have a drive thru and now if you go into Petro gas stations at a certain time each day you also get a free donut or in gas station you can buy 2 for $2.00 and get one free Margo
Krispy Kreme has their own web site and talks about franchises they get many inquiries but you gotta have big bucks to get one as far as Tim's goes a friend of mine was looking into buying one and was advised there was a 5 year wait here most franchises are offered to existing owners if a new one is going up in their area from what I hear. But also big bucks..Check out the Krispy Creme site. The Tim's I personaly have not checked out....Good Luck.

Krispy Kreme has just opened up in Delta BC and people were camped out waiting for it to open, got to try a few of their do-nuts, I found them a lot better that Tim's or Robins, look out Tim and Robin you've now got some compitition
your absolutely right walter ITS ALL ABOUT GIVING BACK TO THE KIDS and as canada well knows TIM HORTINS GIVES BACK BIGTIME anyway its up to our individual taste for snacks or whos buying.personally as a diabetic i try hard to stay away from sweet stuff (damn its hard)but i stray. theres timmies on every corner and inbetween in quebec but i only know of 2 krispie kreme outlets one on the south shore in the greenfield park area and one on l'acadie near the market.im on the road most days and i havent seen others.like i said they sell kk donuts in maxi iga and walmart in my area.(usually past due dates have passed)just kiddin. ps ARE U ALSO AWARE THAT TIM HORTONS HAS HAD SOME OPENINGS STATESIDE.THIS IS HEARSAY I HAVENT CHECKED.
Hi, Personally, I love Timmy's donuts, but as a diabetic also, I shouldn't really indulge. I figure that's why they have the TimBits.....I cut one in half...and stretch the timbit to last a whole cup of coffee. Cheers, Linda
I think the whole Krispy Kreme thing is overrated. New England is the home of Dunkin Donuts and the locals seem to prefer that. The younger white collar people seem to go for Starbucks or Seattles Best (my preference!). I went to Krispy Kreme for the first time a couple of weeks ago. If the donuts are warm, they are good but if they are cooled off, I think they are mediocre at best. The coffee didn't impress me at all. The marketting plan for Krispy Kreme is the best though... they have been hyping Boston for the last couple of years... and then they opened one up... people camped out, line ups a mile long, broke every sales record to date! No wonder their stock goes crazy! Don't care if I have a donut, but would love some shares!
Great response Bim; I agree with all your points and want to add that I think KK are very over rated, and the novelty will wear off. There coffee is also inferior to most other donut shops in my opinion. The quality of Tim Hortons products ranks far above all others. Besides that where else can you rrrrrrrolllllllllll up the rrrrrrrrrriimmmmmmm to win??????????
Ralph.

POPDOG. Krispy Kreme has a fund raiser deal where you sell cards which your organization call sell for $20.00. This entitles you to buy 1 dozen donuts and get 1 dozen free for a total of twenty dozen free donuts. I don't know what the organization has to pay for them, but it is a good deal. I know a lot a kids groups sell them and they go like crazy. Winston Allison
Frustrated with dial-up? Lightning-fast Internet access for as low as $29.95/month.
All you guys talking about these fancy donut shops are making me jealous! I have to drive an hour to get to the closest Tim Horton's and you all have to make choices! I also have to seetle for gas station capaccinos! I don't even know what a Krispy Kreme looks like!
Wasn't that ridiculous in Delta! Camping overnite just to be the first to have a Krispy Kreme in Vancouver!!!!!!!!!! Well personally I haven't tried them yet as you can't seem to get near the place! Timmy's still has the best coffee as far as I can see!
Hi Chickentaco 2000, Just want to say hi. I believe our mothers are good friends. You'll enjoy this group. There is a lot of memory jogging going on all the time. Dannyb
Hey Bim, Are you implying that Krispy Kremes are sold in "RedLight Districts"? Actually, in Holland, where the originally brewed Heineken beer, they would fly a flag with a red star on it to signify that the beer was ready for consumption. Thus, the red star on a Heinie label. I think there might be a trend here! BTW, I would take Tims over Krispy anyday, but my preference is still Seattles Best!
Just to stir the pot a little more and get all you Krispy Kreme lovers annoyed, I find the donuts are nothing more than grease with a circle, try putting one on a napkin...Disgusting. Tim's donuts aren't the best either but their coffee is addictive.. I love it. I must have 5 cups a day...

The chain's focus on top quality, always fresh product and friendly, efficient customer service has helped make Tim Hortons one of North America's largest coffee and fresh baked goods chains. Today, Tim Hortons has more than 2,300 stores across Canada and a steadily growing base of 180 locations in key markets within the United States.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUT CORPORATION FRANCHISE.
As you may be aware, we no longer have franchise opportunities/development rights available in Canada. We are not accepting applications at this time. Several markets are currently under development and stores will be opening soon. Thank you for your interest in a Krispy Kreme Doughnnut Corporation franchise. this may be interest you walter bim
hi sharon u mention the grease/fat content of krispy kreme.well the was a show on obesity in north america i think it was fifth estate where they mention thay kk has the highest fat content of any of the major donut sellers.the rate was like 38%.so its definitely not on the weight watchers menu. heres some figures on calories made at guelph university: Yeast-baked donuts from both companies clock-in with a similar amount of calories. There’s no low-fat alternative here. Tim Horton’s offering has 213 calories, while Krispy Kreme’s – which are approximately 25 per cent smaller in size – have about 223 calories per donut.
Thanks Bim.. I had no idea that they were in Maine.. I guess with the high volume of Canadian tourists in the Old Orchard area, it was a good investment for somebody!
Her's a calendar for you Krispy Kreme lovers www.angelfire.com/ak2/intelligencerreport/krispy2.html this is what happens if you indulge in the product from either Tim's or Krispy's.................hahaha
Ok Les F, But what happens to the guys who indulge? Come on tell us....we ladies want to see a few of these hunks (or rather CHUNKS). All's fair, show us some of the guys. Cheers, Linda
