I just have a comment regarding some of the content on this group recently. It seems to me that there is an increase in slamming the US. Without getting into particulars or finger pointing, please bear in mind that there is a significant number of us who have chosen to live south of the border for whatever reason. Either way, comments like what have been made are discriminating, hurtful and really have no place in a group that has been set up as a repository for reminiscing the good times, shared by people with a common "Connection".
Thanks,
Alan Archibald

HI AL I RESPECT YOUR COMMENT HERE BUT I AM HAVING TROUBLE PICKING UP ON THE DISCRIMINATION THAT U MENTION.MAYBE IM NOT READING THE SAME DISCUSSION BOARDS.OR IM OVERLOOKING SOMETHING WHILST READING OR WRITING MYSELF.I APOLOGISE FOR ANY REMARKS OR COMMENTS THAT WERE OUT OF CONTEXT THAT I MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED.YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT THIS GROUP SHOULD BE JUST THAT A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE. THANKS FOR THE EYEOPENER BIM
Hi Allen , I have not seen the American Bashing, I love Americans, have always been treated with respect south of the border , and your 100 % right, this is for memories , no people bashing , hang tough Jimmy
sorry ment alan
Hi Archie. What is it that you're referring to Archie....I'm sorry you've been offended, but I mean I'M south of the border as well, and I haven't been offended by anything. Could you have possibly misconstrued something that was said? In these forums it is difficult to always get the intonation that one is imparting in their posts. And surely you know that anything that is said, is said in jest? Luv, Sharon
Hi Sharon,
I originally posted this message a couple of weeks ago and didn't know why I didn't see it. As I said, that over a period of time, there were comments contained in messages that I felt could offend. Not only regarding the US, but also toward the language situation in Quebec that we all have experienced. I just felt that some comments could alter the the atmosphere that this group had generated and would never want to see that happen.

Right on Alan, I lived and worked in seven of the United States and they always treated me fairly, more fairly then the Canadians i grew up with,, and thats a fact,,to much jalousie among us,,I love the Yanks, thank God every day that they are our neighbours and protectors, and not the USSR,,,Chuck Catto
I understand your concern, Archie, and thank you for that. I'm sure that no offense was intended tho. Luv, Sharon
Just a note here Archie...lol...I hope you don't think as at least one other person has, that Les, Maggie or I deleted your post. If posts are deleted, it will leave behind a message saying "This message has been deleted by manager or assistant manager". There ARE some messages like that here but there are only spam or x-rated messages that were posted and deleted. As I told judebug, anyone can delete their OWN message as well and it will leave a message behind that says "This message deleted by AUTHOR". I have noticed as recently as last night that a few of my own messages have not shown up, so I'm assuming that it's a glitch in MSN. Luv, Sharon

Hi Sharon,
I am a moderator on a couple of other groups and have had messages appear days and even weeks after they were originally sent. I have always believed that it was just associated with the volume of mail traffic and after all, it is still a free service.
By the way, you guys do a great job with the way you have been able to get control of the spam/trash that was starting to appear. Thanks to all, for all of your effort in keeping this group free of it... now, what solutions/suggestions do you have for getting the postal service to stop delivering junk mail to me?
Alan
Hi Al, Change your address to your neighbors and he will only give you the good stuff. How is the car going. Dannyb
Hi Again, Outlook Express has sent me the same email messages about 25 times today and it is still coming. It is starting to p--- me off. I deleted more mail today than I recieved this month. Dannyb
I really never anticipated openning a can of worms! I guess my motivation was just to avoid seeing somethind said that could affect the group. 'Nuf said.....
PopDog... Thanks for the link. I had heard some positive things about the Napoleon Hill Foundation a long time ago and had not thought any more about it. Speakers like Tony Robbins, etc., have Hill to thank for the career they have today! He certainly was the front runner!

No a bad idea Danny! Maybe I will subscribe to all the free info/catalogues businesses will send me.... and put their address in!
As for the cars... Stacy's is back to normal, and I got the wiper motor today for mine. I wanted to get it installed today, but I have a "Scottish" function to attend tonight so I have to press my kilt..... which can be a lengthy process!
Hi Al, DoDo and I would like to keep Stacy. She has been a gaurdian angel to DoDo lately. She is at Do's bedside all the time. I can't thank her enough for the help she has given. With Brady in school it is hard for me to get to the hospital until night time. Stacy has been spending all her spare time there with her. She is one very special person. Say hi to the rest of your family for us. Dannyb
Hi Danny,
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I told Stacy just how much we are both appreciative & proud of all she is able to do, and she just said... she is just doing what we all would be doing if we were closer! What a kid! We are thrilled that she can help you out in whatever way she can! I will call yo Sunday night. Talk to you then.
Alan
