Verdun Palace Theatre
Here is a photo of the Palace theatre as it appears today. Also, the add showing the movies that were playing in the winter of 1947 as advertised in the Guardian. I am looking for a picture of the Palace as it appeared in those days.
Linda, Your right, I had the same impression when I first saw it on Saturday. I frequented the Palace almost every Saturdays in my youth in the 40s and 50s and it seemed to me that it was larger. Guy
Linda & Guy In the photo of the former Palace Theater, we just see the entrance. Of course, the theater bldg covered a much larger area as it continues behind the front stores on Wellington. Here is a Google view of the place (3841 Wellington) (The area within the 4 yellow dots) JMH

Guy, It's amazing how small that building looks today, hard to imagine it was a theater at one time.
