Trailer127/ShipleyBH2 Eddie Featherstone is still around. He should be retired now, but if he isn't, he is still working in the business. Eddie lived at 841 3rd Avenue, and I lived at 835 3rd Avenue. The Alexander name sounds familiar, but I can't seem to place the face. Winston Allison

Well one good thing - if he was still living in Montreal - I didnt find him in Cote Des Neiges Cemetary so I hope the news of his demise is grossly exaggerated as they say.
Bill Alexander was the cousin of the Featherstones. He lived at 781 Third Ave
the same block as the McCarthys and the Allens, Bob & Margo Allen. The next
block to Senkas' Store.

What would we have done without SENKAS STORE ON 3RD AVENUE ?
I remember that store very well. I used to go to my grandmothers on 3rd Avenue for lunch (Winston Allison's mom) when I was going to Bananntyne School. My grandmother would send one of us there to buy 25 cents of sliced ham and she had tons of ham to make us sandwiches for lunch! I also remember them selling cigarettes 2 for a nickel 5 for a dime LOL You had to smoke whatever he had open under the counter! Another store I remember is Duludes on Second Avenue. We used to go down the shed stairs from the house on 3rd, cross the lane and cut right through the guys kitchen to get into their store LOL Connie (Coleman)
Thats a good question as I lived in the block next
to it. Do you remember the McCarthys',Scanlans,Bobby Dorseys' Grandma sitting on
the balcony talking to all of us kids as we went into the store?
