'Buzz' Beurling
I happened upon a website with information on this Verdun "ace"
He lived on Gordon ave just above Wellington, close to the church. Saw him at Verdun Auditorum on War Bond Drive, his ankle was in a cast around 1943 + Gordo.
Good Evening! Don't know what happen to my reply the other day but Mom was saying Buzz lived on Church near LaSalle Blvd. I posted it and haven't seen it yet, and if this busy old memory isn't failing me yet I think that was yesterday.Oh yeah and can't say it is because I'm on a Mac cause I'm not.
Thanks for the piece on Buzz Beurling, Maggie. Once I started reading I HAD to finish it. Perhaps we can attribute the rebel in us as being from Verdun.....lol. His flying experiences loosely resembles the movie "Top Gun" starring Tom Cruise. Maybe a coincidence?!?

I got the attached article from" The Messanger" when he appeared at the Auditorium during the second world war. Of course, Beurling St. is named after him. (Archives Société d'Histoire et de Généalogie de Verdun) Guy
