Cindy Flames fans???

Dear Cindy

You must be refering to Karen Lancaster, she was closest to Cathy Redmond but we did hang aroung in a big group in Beurling Park and at the Nad. My best friend was Cindy Lee and I was close over the years to Joanne Pepin, Colleen McGauraghty, Theresa Bonhomme, Dianne Rowland, Cathy Redmond, Donna Chapatis to name a few. My favorite year book was VCHS '74, that contained my hockey picture. I hung around too much at VHS.

I lived on the laneway near Beurling...on Rolland Ave.  I redognize your name but you know....the mind gets fuzzy....but we can always remember the guys we dated in High School; ha ha.  That slays my kids...ha ha

hope to hear from you

PRESENTINGGGGGGGGGG....

BELLE!!! Yep it's a GIRL! No worrying now if Bessey's baby will end up on my plate one day....lol. And what a sweet lil girl she is too, the spitting image of her Mama. I got to spend time with them today and Bessey let me handle the calf, I was pleasantly surprised. Wasn't sure if she would or not.
It doesn't seem all that long ago that Bessey herself was that size when I was taking care of her after her Mama died. Now she's gone and had her OWN baby....sniff sniff
Here's some pics....isn't Belle adorable? Bessey TOO of course! :-)
Thanks for the Congrats peeps! I know some of you are bound to be thinking "God girl...get a LIFE!" LOL But this IS my life!
Luv, Sharon

Luv, Sharon

I'M A GRANDMOTHERRRRRR! (of a sort hehe)

BESSEY HAD HER BABY!!!

I'm a GRANDMOTHER!! LOLOL
OMG the calf is SO CUTE, it looks a lot like Bessey, black with a white head. I didn't get pics cuz I wasn't expecting it hehe...of course. :-P I went to feed the cows earlier and they all came up to eat...except Bessey. After dinner I walked up with Alli to see if Bessey had come up but she hadn't, so I got Rick to drive me up on the back mountain where they've been hanging around and I saw her with the little one beside her. Yeah...it made me cry...lol. She wouldn't let me near it tho.  Didn't try to butt me away or anything but walked away with it at her side. I couldn't even see if it was a boy or a girl, cuz I was so excited and it was so quick. I just left her alone as that's what it seems she wanted but tomorrow I can promise you I'll be up there snapping pics. LOTS of them! hehe
Probably use up my whole memory card. :-P
Just thought I'd let ya's know! :-)
Watching my Montreal Canadiens right now who are going to beat the Boston Bruins asses tonight hehe so I shall return laterrrrrrrrrr

Luv, Sharon

Taxes

Arial Tax his cow,

Tax his goat;

Tax his pants,

Tax his coat;

Tax his crop,

Tax his work;

Tax his ties,

Tax his shirt;

Tax his chew,

Tax his smoke

Teach him taxing

is no joke.

Tax his tractor,

Tax his mule;

Tell him, Taxing

is the rule.

Tax his oil,

Tax his gas

Tax his notes,

Tax his cash

Tax him good

and let him know,

That after taxes,

he has no dough.

If he hollers,

Tax him more;

Tax him till

he's good and sore.

Tax his coffin,

Tax his grave,

Tax his sod in which

he's laid.

Put these words

upon his tomb,

"Taxes drove him

to his doom."

After he's gone,

we won't relax.

We'll still collect

inheritance tax.

Re:Yep I dated Shawn Hill

Yes, Shawn Hill used to bring roses to my bedroom window. And I was only 13! When I first moved to Rolland Ave, my house was on the laneway and I knew no one, the boys would be in the back yard singing and I'd sit on my back step listening to them.  My little sister Kelly hung around with Karen Hill.

Only three words-Jamaican style......

I was in Ocho Rios, Jamaica two weeks ago on a one day stop on a fabulous cruise, and the tour guide told us that in Jamaica you would be understood if you remembered only three words:

Irie ( everything is great)

Yaman ( yes to either man or woman)

No.problem  ( there is never a problem-if something is wrong there is a situation)

what a great place to visit.

John Bull Pub

I remember when the pub first opened. I was with the naval reserve at the time playing in the band. Years later as a member of the band Shilo I played the John Bull.
It was the first rock and roll band to play there after Ravi kumar and the Dixiecats

we use to pack the place and I can remeber the lines going all the way round the corner up Drummond.

Many a good times was had there.

If anyone has memories of the place let us know

Roy

Did you go to VCHS graduated in 1975? I used to live on Rolland Ave and went to VCHS, my name (was) is Colleen Murphy, my best friend was Cindy Lee. I've encountered the same thing of not recognizing people but it will come. Bim is my cousin and Glen Larkin I remember from High School. Hung around with alot of VHS'ers, even married and divorced one.

Hope you hang in till you connect with people you know

Hey maybe  we'll have known each other...your name is familiar but I am at work and do rely non the old yearbooks.

About the next Canada Day Parade...

I'm hoping to go to Canada at some point this summer and was checking the calendar here to find that Canada Day  (July 1st) falls on a Thursday this year.
Can anyone tell me if Montreal will hold their Canada Day Parade ON July 1st and people don't work on that day but go to work on the Friday...or if it will be recognized on the Friday instead to make it a long weekend and the parade will be on the Friday or Saturday instead too?
It'll help in my pla-making to know.
Thanks!
Luv, Sharon
