That's really funny because I was baptized at Chalmers by a Rev. W. G. Onions in 1957
how's this for tradition. myself and my 3 brothers were batized at st.clements church....my three sons were batized there ...my older brother flew in from nova scotia with each birth of his sons(3) to have them batized at st clements. and my grandson was batized at st clements.
Jimmy. My mother and I went to Chalmers for a couple of years when I was a kid. Don't remember what years though. It was on Church Avenue, just above Wellington

In 1964 I would have been in the 3rd or 4th Grade. I graduated from High School in1973. By the time I went to school, Rushbrooke School had been closed a number of years and was being used as a wharehouse for desks and text books. I too went to St. Clements for both my religious upbringing and also for Cubs & Scouts. I don't remember who the Scout Leaders were but I do remember the Cub Leaders were Howard Cutler and Garry Newman. Unfortunately Howard died some 12-15 yrs ago and I lost track of Garry as life progressed. The Minister was Rev. Kettleborough and then Rev Peter Mason who went on to become the Arch-Bishop of Montreal. Rev. Kettleborough moved to a parish in Laval, some years later when I became a mason he visited my lodge and performed part of the ritual for my initiation. Sorry I don't recall a Doreen Gordon or the Marchand's. .
Hi Ernie, Your name is familiar. Did you live on Willibrord above Wellington. I seem to know your name and I believe you have a sister named Linda maybe. Am I right. Dannyb
Yes we did, for all of about 1 year we lived on a 2nd floor flat at 109 Willibroad. If memory serves me right that was 1976 the year of the Olympics. My sister's name is Lynn and that was the year she got married. While I don't quite recall you did you not have a sister named Debbie or something similar. I really disliked living on Willibroad. I had a brand new Toyota Celica SR5 that was decked out for Rallyee racing and had to park it in the Stienbergs parking lot across the street as there was never any room on the street. Had the car vandalized 4 times in the space of about 3 months. Finally broke down and rented a garage in the back lane to hide it from view. The following year we moved to Greenfield Park.
