Bergerons TV repair
Steve-is there any way you can upload a pic....and would it be from the early seventies?Do you know any history of this place...as in the guys who worked there?Did they have a station wagon-type car? thanks, cathy
This is very important....please if you have ANY info or a picture....please post it....my email is wilkiepooh101@yahoo.ca or cattywhiskers@hotmail.com....please get in touch soon....thx...cathy
Well again learn something new for today,.I didn't realize that Caesar'sTV had a place on Woodland,........I Remember in the mid 60's I guess they were on Church Avenue,......btwn Wellington & Lasalle Blvd,........and then they built or moved into a real fancy modern looking place on Newman Blvd in Lasalle : Remember when Newman started becomming developped, with all the more modern style plaz'a & stuff,...........................................................................................hf&rv
I would doubt that many TV repair places are around anymore,.as buying a new TV is relatively inexpensive than ever before. So repairing them almost doesn't make sense. Also I would imagine that the Big Box stores like Future Shop etc etc ,..would have effectively put the TV sales shops out of business...??? Is Caesar's TV still around at all??? I Remember Alan & Lorne used to race at Napierville almost every weekend,.that's where I first learned the trick of packing dry-ice around the carb,.after the first two runs ,...as your car performed better at certain temps...... Usually your first run would get you to operating temps,& the next one it would turn a quicker time,.then it was too hot ,.so the carb got packed with dry-ice around it to cool it quickly in time for the following runs........................ ahh Napierville but that's another subject: HF&RV
Hi Gary (Arbutus) that is an interesting bio,.......how did you ever come across something like that,.I did look for Ceasar's TV stuff & never saw that ,.but I have to admit I doubt I would have even read it ,unless there was a referance to the TV shop,.I see Lorne & Alan are mentioned quite a ways down the article/storyI never heard of this other brother, too bad about his Dad ( their Dad) ,,,,,,,,,,,,but it sounds like the Mother held everything together,.Very Interesting read,.and quite courageous of the writer to lay everything out there like that,........Thanks for the input,.......... Is Ceasar's still going?? I didn't see a mention of that .......... HF&RV

Les, I would seriously doubt it still exists, no listing in Canada 411. Seems as though some if not all of the family is out here. Gary
