I cannot believe it!!! Booked my ticket this morning. I have not been to Montreal since I was 21!!! My big sister and brother liive on the South Shore in Montreal. July 4th here I come. I am in shock...my two best friends got me the ticket. They said I needed to go home. I want to cry.

Colleen, congrats on the trip home, wow from what you say its been a long time. Which two lovely friends are giving you such a great present? Have a great great time and do as much as you can while you are there. I am actually going home May 28 weekend there is a 75 year reunion at Riverview school for all former teachers and students, should be fun and a good chance to get home to see all the family. I am going home in August too - my son and DIL are having their first baby end of July after 3 terrible loses so we will be heading to St Thomas More for the baptism August 21st. Last year we bought some land in Knowlton Landing and I keep praying that we will be able to build soon. My cousin went to Riverview School and teaches there now so I am sure that she and her sister will be there.

My two best friends just happened into my life. If someone would have told me 8.5 yrs ago that I would love two Syrian guys like brothers, I'd tell them they were nuts!!!!
I started working with Sam first. He never talked to anyone and had a miserable marriage. I just never shut up and I love to laugh...it gets contageous. He had no choice but to be my friend. No one else in the company treated him with any respect, until of course he bought shares and became a partner. Anyways his wife and I hit it off and I feel I helped mend their marriage. I am friends with her too but not like with Sam. He said he thanks God every day that I came into his life. Four years go by and he hires this guy named Jay. He asked me what I thought. I told him that I didn't think I'd like Jay as he had a mean face. Sam laughed and said I was too funny and just to wait and see. Jay said he knew I didn't like him and he figured he was going to teach this"Little one" a lesson. Both Jay and Sam are over 6'2 and I'm ALMOST 5'2". Long story short, we make each other laugh and trust each other and are always there for each other. We work in a cut throat business, home systems, do security, sound, data, intercoms, central vacuums, home theatre..etc. and even the people we worked along side were not nice. We just bonded and had each others back. Then Sam got screwed by his partners and started his own company. Of course I quit my job and Jay followed suit. Each of us runs a division of this company, with my sister running one as well, and a friend running our Edmonton division.
I hate that since I've been in the West, I've only made a couple of close friends, one for 19 yrs and the other 7 (girls), and then I have my bestest friends, Sam and Jay. I still have my friends from the East, but here everyone tries to screw you up. So REAL friends are few and far between, so I truly value them. These guys were raised in a different country and close friends, best friends are something that is strange to them...let alone a friendship with a woman. They know how much I miss my big sister and they want me to be happy. We do things for each other. Sam got Jay a trip to Syria (he hasn't been home in 4 yrs) and he leaves 16 hours after I return to Calgary. He'll be gone 2 months. Thank God my boyfriend is friends with them too.
Actually my boyfriend and Sam's wife laugh about us "three". Jay was married, hated her, she's gone awwww.
Jay is a mean cuss, so I wasn't wrong about him, but never to me or Sam. We are brutally honest with each other and argue, but always put the other's best interest first. It is strange and hard to understand, but our business is small, we all know each other from all the other companies, and everyone knows where the three of us stand (UNITED). Aww, other people have tried to penetrate our friendship and all have failed.
My kids are all happy..shocked but happy for me. My sister works for the Royal Bank in Place Ville Marie and said she couldn't stop crying yesterday and had trouble working. I was crying too which was weird. We are going to shop shop shop and bingo of course. ha ha
Can't wait.

You know I will be staying at my sister's on Robinson, which is behind the park...don't remember the streets there anymore, started living in Verdun when I was 12. But it's not far from Cornwall St where I loved in St. Hubert...it's behind the public elementy school.
My brother used to live on Montee St Hubert but now my nephew owns that and he moved some place else....yea I keep up ha ha
