Rushbrooke St.
Hello, was brought up on Rushbrooke, played a lot in the DIL field and my Sister went to Rushbrooke school before it closed down. Many good memories around that time.A picture of 3188 Rusbrooke in my Album,Verdun 2004.
Went to Rushbrooke school till bout 54-55? Was a monitor there before leaving to go to Verdun High for a year. Then off to work. frank worsley. 3380 Rushbrooke at the time.
Judy..gawd..you know me..well..can remeber the school yard with you and barbara wray..wnat a thrill (chewing gum)...how is that. Was a sad day when she was killed. You lived next door to wayne carroll..Met yer dad in TO..played horseshoes with him at the vets club in 1995..hmmmmmmmmmm
Wayne's dad had a large yard..they kept everything in there..Another name might remember was the Hendy's..a house painter family...lived next door to them..on Rushbrooke.before they built their house on Rushbrooke..Always wondered,,how the name Rushbrooke was chosen..like there are NO rushing brooks near..just the old polluted St Lawrence!! Can remember going down to the Grand Truck boating club and nearly falling in off the planks they used for docking.
hi frank, did you have a brother leslie who went to V.H.S. in the early 60's . i also went to rushbrooke school till they closed it down then was bussed to ballantyne. patsy ginn ernst
Nope..no brother named Leslie..had an uncle little older than myself Les Brown...He was in the NCVR..then the Navy..dead now..as is my brother Stewart..
You have a good memory, I did have a cast on for quite some time. My brother was here for Xmas and corrected me we lived at 3020 Rushbrooke not 3120, my memory is slipping.
Judy. I can see why you don't know who is replying to your message. If I respond to a particular message, I always put the persons name first, and then put my name at the bottom. inston Allison (835 third Avenue, Verdun).
Hi Frank, I apologize, because I don't remember you. I even went as far as calling to high school friends, Mary Ann Savard and Sandra Maskel, they were no help. It is nice hearing from you though. I do remember Alan Leisham. I looked at your picture and I must say it did not help me!!!!
Sigh.......gee thought I had made an impression on you...oh well always tomorrow..haha. My memory is my life,,can remember you walking past my house and you had a bob haircut..right..??
The only Judy I know that would remember Sandra Maskell and Maryann Savard, lives in Peterborough. Is this you?....If so.....I just recently joined Verdun Connections. Take care.........Sonny
Hi Sonny, Yes it is Judy Brown from Peterborough, welcome to Verdun connections, you will love this site. Sandra (Maskel) & Mike Nolan, were here visiting a couple of weeks ago for a few days. Mary Ann Savard lives in New Bruswick, we all visited with her last summer. Enjoy the site and keep in touch. Judy
Hi Frank, Sorry I was confusing you with Herbie (can't remember his last name- senior's moment) who came to Rushbrooke School from Newfoundland. Funny story-----came home from work one day here in BC and my wife told me there was a guy from Verdun working on our furnace......lo and behold........Herbie. Stayed on for hours reminiscing. Frank, I do remember you though. You were in my class at Rushbrooke.
Hi Judy, Would still love to get together with you, Mike and Sandra. As a matter of fact, I'm leaving this Thurs. for Hamilton with the BC Lions and having lunch on Fri with Barb Delves and Ralph and Gail (nee Godkin) Francis. Take care, Sonny
Please do me a favor and when you see Ralph & Gail, please tell them that Mary & Alan Archibald send their best! We used to hang around with them when we lived in London Ontario, but kind of lost contact when they moved out of London & we moved to Boston. Ralph & I did a lot of salmon fishing in the Benmiller area. One of my friends from Brown Blvd, Stan Giles is married to Gails sister Cathy. Please pass my email address to them aarchib470@aol.com , it would be great to hear from them! Thanks and have a great trip!
Hi Alan, Do you know Ernie Pearlstien, or Dick Burgess? They are associated with the Shriners in Boston, my husband used to travel with them when he was on the board of the International Shrine Clowns.

Hi Shirley It is a small world...my husband Barry does know Bill. Barry was Sneaker Fund Chairman for Canada for 10 years, and did a lot of travelling with them over the years. He is still a very active clown, busy doing the circus' now.
Yes, I know Ernie & Dick very well! I will be with Ernie (Rollo) this weekend as we are parading at the country's largest Portugese Festival in New Bedford Mass. At Aleppo, the pipe band room is right next to the clowns room so we are always sharing a few laughs with the guys. Let me know your last name & I will be sure to mention it to Ernie on Sunday.
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you, this is my first day off for a couple of weeks now. I am a bit behind in my mail, but no, I didn't receive a message from Ralph yet. How was your trip and how are Ralph & Gail doing?
