I don't get the point of not putting your real name on this site.
Is it not for us to find old friends.
THANKS for stopping by, I do my best to acknowledge when someone leaves a comment,you do not have to be a member here & everyone is welcome. Ps: This site is monitored but not actively posting on a regular basis. Mostly these are stories & some photos saved from a defunct site known as Verdun Connections which was on MSN Groups initially then on a social network called Multiply.

Hello , onesmacO,.............Welcome to the VerdunConnections site,...I'm sure you will have some fun recognizing old friends or friends of ols friends,.....and probaly you will really like to share some old photographs you may have from older times in Verdun ( or Montreal & area of course)...........We can't wait to hear all of your related story's from days gone by,.........& of course to see your great old photographs.too) ,,,,,,,and as far as the 'making people print their names ,..We have chosen a very Novel Idea of 'letting' people choose to do that on their own,./...........I would liken it to walkning down Wellington Street,& seeing plenty of people ,but some you might Never Speak Too,..........but Some you Would Like Too,.........So that's Your CHOICE ,............nNeat Idea ,don't you think.....hahahahahah OK I'm just kidding you ,but ,I'm sure you will find that if there are people you know here(& I'm sure there are)then they will reveal themselves to you,........but We still let everyone make that Choice for themselves...(& we've been doing it for 5 plus years ,so far, with many of the same suggestions you've just made)................Have fun Here & Remember Verdun ..............We look forward to your Input ,and Hope you feel comfort in that we've heard many ideas such as yours ,many times before,.& We really hope you Appreciate that,we've chosen to make this site 'user friendly' & relatively easy to use .....so my friend ,.....Have Fun & Remember Verdun

Your right! It is funny. I tried to add my profile and it didn''t
change.lol
Maybe that is why no one has their name on there. But some people
never sign who they are at the bottom. I just like to know who your
writing
or reading. It may make it easier to find old friends.
When you first join it ask you to put a (nick) name. I'm known by a
few as
Smac out here in Van., but it wouldn't except it so I put onesmac. So I
sign my name on most of what I write.
I guess there are people who would prefer not to be known. I don't know

All "new" members must provide their name when applying for membership. (I knew who you were from the Yahoo site). The profile info shown when you click on their member IDs is what is provided to MSN when they sign up. To help with identification, I have created a list under "documents" that is sortable by the information categories. It is called the "sml". To access it, you must be signed in (therefore, only members can see it), then click on "documents", then click on "sml" under documents on the left still. There are entries for all members of VC but since many older ones did not provide information, the listings are not complete. Any member can have their information added or changed by sending me an email. mumagain@hotmail.com
