NICHOLAS WILLIAM KOTSOS Died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on April 5, 2008. Nick was born on January 17, 1948 in Montreal, Quebec. Nick leaves behind to celebrate his life, his cherished wife Lee-Ann and her two children Erin and Ryan, his treasured sons, Michael and David, his first wife Linda, his daughters-in-law Angie and Kerry, and his precious granddaughter Ellie. Nick will be missed by his siblings Sophia, Kathleen, Dennis and Steven, by his nieces and nephews Sandra, Karen, Patrick, Melissa and Steven. Nick was predeceased by his parents William and Alice Kotsos of Montreal. Nick was a gifted and inspiring educator who touched the lives of many young people in Montreal, with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, and with the YMCA Academy in Toronto. He mentored dozens of students and teachers in his role as educator, department head, guidance counsellor, and curriculum coordinator. Nick believed in the potential and ability of every young person he encountered. His passions in life were many and he shared those passions freely and generously with his family and friends, be it his craftsmanship as a woodworker, his love of the blues and art, his beloved Michigan Wolverines, or a fine meal that he would spend hours in meticulous preparation. Nick valued and celebrated friendship. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. West, Oakville, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church.
