Hi Lenny, Sorry to hear about Gloria, I remember her well.  She was a very good athlete in high school.  Came across a picture of her not that long ago standing in front of your house on Rushbrooke St, I will see if I can locate again. Don't remember your Dad cutting my hair, but that is possible....Isn't this the greatest site? Love reading and seeing pictures of Verdun.  Verdun sure was great place to grow up in... We moved to Peterborough 42 years agao, so we have been gone from Verdun a long time.  My husband is from Lachine.... Judy

RCDave1 Do you know what year this photo was taken and about where. Another interesting photo of the boardwalk. My guesstimate would be the the 70s possibly near the Nat. We can see Herons island in the background. Guy

The photo was taken in th late 50's at the foot of Allard Ave.  The road behind me leads down to Torchy Wharf.

there was a steep drop all along the boardwalk
except if i remember were tory warf was
there was a car ramp going down to the wharf
also its near the nat also and close to the red top.
the land fill started reaching close to tory wharf
in the early 70's.
