A friend of mine had a neat Leonard Cohen experience last month in Montreal. We are both huge Cohen fans. My friend Andre is a professional musician living now in Vancouver with his wife, also a musician who works with him. They were in Monrteal last month to perform at a guitar festival at a theatre on St. Laurent (the Main).
On Friday afternoon, before their gig, they decided to go to a little grocery shop next to Shwartze's for some fruit. As Andre walked in he met Leonard Cohen and his partner leaving the grocery store. Andre stopped him and said "you're LC aren't you". Leonard responed "Yes". They chatted a bit about Leonard's recent induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Leonard and his better half were off back home, which must be nearby.
