class pics, anyone out there
hey, anyone out there with class pics,
this is a fun thing to see each other when we were kids.
There are a few in people's picture albums. I also have a few online in some class websites. What schools and years are you interested in? Would it be helpful to have an album just for class pictures? There are albums specifically related to some schools. Give me your thoughts please.
maggie, hope your day was good! one thought is, some kids of our era were not able to obtain for various reasons their class photos, so any one whose mom tucked these away, can send group class photos in on a school site, like bannantyne school, st. thomas more, verdun high, v.c.h., riverview etc. each school could poste their photos ,class group photos on this site. not individual, year books great too, but elementary is fun. kids are candid. as of now there is no school site here at VERDUN CONN. and you could expand on this idea, and open the site. just an idea. what do you think? carolyn
Maggie I posted graduating classes from VHS for the years 58-62. I left them there for quite some time, then removed them to make more storage space so I could post more pics. I figured anybody who was interested could save these pics to their own computer. Guess that's one of the problems I foresee (using up storage space). Cheers.
Yes, storage limits are a problem. I have created websites (using Yahoo's geocities) for 4 graduating years at VHS. Each site needs a different user identification and I had to get permission to use other people's space. Once the sites where built, I simply added a link on our "LINKS" page. These websites can be simple and the free ones have ample storage. Geocities provides page-builders and are quite easy to use. The most difficult part is scanning and uploading the pictures.Please explore this option in order to share your old class pictures and yearbooks. So many of us did not have them available to us and are thrilled to see glimpses of our past. I'm no whiz, but I would be willing to offer help through MSN Messenger (mumagain@hotmail.com) or Yahoo messenger (mag_mck) if any of you need some.
