Bring plenty of Mosquito repellant. You have never seen mossies as big as they have in Winnipeg. We arrived in the late evening when we visited Winnipeg - automatic sprinklers had finished and grass everywhere was damp. When we walked the dogs great fogs of mosquitoes rose from the grass. Freaked me out and I got the dogs inside fast and checked them over for any hitchhikers.
