Lorna - If you have paid that is all that it takes and he can reply to your email without paying the fee you can even send him your email in code I usually say here is my email if you want to reply direct it is baxiesmomshirley at hotmail dot com if you put a @ it will get deleted - try sending him another message with your email addy. You can also put a message on the message board that you are looking for him and to come to verdunconnections@groups.msn.com
Forget to say that when people add their names to classmates they usually use a hotmail address or some other freebie not the address that they use all the time so it may take a few days before they log into the other account and see the message.

Since some of you have lived on Egan - I did too for a few short years I was wondering if you knew my cousins - Garth, Leslie and Lynn Russell. Lynn was way younger than Garth and Leslie.
Shirley. I played in a band, the Alabaster Villa, with Garth. Last time I spoke with him, he and Linda were living in the Atlanta area with their daughters. His Dad, at the time, was still in Montreal. Do you keep in touch with the family? Glen
Their mom Shirley died when Lynn was quite young like less than 4 and I guess Les the dad whom our family called Moon and even Shirley called him that sort of dropped out of things. Shirley's mom and my mom were sisters. My cousin Lynn has her dad living with her and is married to Zelyko Poic and the live in LaSallette Ontario - Leslie is married to James Anderson and they live in Mt Pleasant Ontario - I dont have Garth's address although his aunt told me that he was in Atlanta. I tried to round up all the cousins and sent a letter to Les (Moon) at Christmas but never heard back.

A little late to this post but I think I remember Lorna I grew up on Egan and knew the Neilson family, the Kanes, Bakers and hung out with my cousins Lenny, Donna, Ted Savoy and Ron and Linda Robideux. I'm Colin Black and my brother James I'll be 39 this year.

Popdog who exactly are you? I'm related to Gilbert Geary he passed away a few years ago now. Jimmy Mann's sister was Bonnie I think. I also remember the funeral home parking lot hung out there lots. Do you guys remember Danny and Sandra Hover? Brings back memories, I think Winston Wong and Jeffrey Sweatman lived down that end too. Spend alot of money on candy at the Terminal store. My aunt and uncle still live on Woodland I was there last January for a visit. It's along way from here in Whitehorse, Yukon. Colin Black

Hey Colin My mom told me that Gilbert passed away,I used to babysit for him and Fran all the time.All those kids are grown up and kids of there own.I do have a brother Paul and yes my dad's name is Brain,he passed away 24 years ago,it was really sudden he was 39 my age now,hard to belive it was that long ago.You must remeber Ron that used to live on the 3rd floor above Gilbert,well we have been marred for 20 years,have 2 kids Our daughter Kayla graduated last year and our son T.J is 15. Rons 2 sisters married Walter and Sanford Wong ,there all doing good and still in Verdun.Ohh my god all these name brings back alot of memoires.Colin can you send me some pictures.i would love to see them.Are they pictures of us in that pool we had in teh back yard we thought it was so cool cause it had seat in the corner of them do you remember lol. Colin - hope that your daughter is not flying into Frankfurt - my husband has been there for 20 hours because they got 3" of snow - all flights were cancelled today not directly but delayed an hour or two and then again and again - they were put on the plane twice and sat on the runway for over an hour then they had them off the plane again. NOT good news.

Hi Sharon and Lorna, it's a small world. I don't know either one of you but I do know Cheryl Kane because I work with her in Milton Ontario. I grew up on Godin and Cheryl lived on Egan and later moved to Brown Blvd. I had never met her before she came to work with us in Milton. Derrick is in Ft McMurray, Alberta. He's been working there since 2003. His wife and 2 kids live ( and have always lived ) in Chateauguay, Quebec and he gets home as often as he can. He never lived in Calgary, as his brother Dan mentioned in earlier posts. Derrick hasn't seen his brothers or parents in years ( he was terribly hurt by a family rift, in 1988 ). He has fond memories of growing up in Verdun. In fact, he likes taking his kids through his old stomping grounds, especially around Christmas time, showing them all the holiday lights, on people's houses. If you want to get in touch with him, he's on Facebook. I'm sure he'd love hearing from any and all who knew him 'back in the day'.
